WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. It is based on the concept that everything in the universe is made up of energy and this "life force energy" that flows around us can be drawn into the body to heal. It is a healing art that works with imbalances of the body, mind, and spirit to support good health and wellbeing.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothes and prepare to relax. We will chat for a bit about what to expect and the modalities that I may intuitively use in your session. I use an amythyst & tourmaline biomat to warm the massage table. It also provides several other benefits such as deep infra-red heat & negative ion therapy.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY SESSION?
Expect to feel peaceful & relaxed. Reiki is phenomenal for stress relief, depression, and anxiety. However, it is also important to keep an open mind and allow your self to feel or see whatever you are meant to experience. Reiki itself is never harmful, and only brings love, light, and positive vibes. My intention as a practitioner is to always be a clear channel for Reiki to "do its thing" for the highest good of all.
Take away what feels right for you & release anything that does not align.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASSES?
All supplies for classes will be provided. However, IF you need to bring anything, the course description will contain that information. Most commonly we will ask that you bring a blanket, pillow, yoga mat, and anything else you need to feel 100% comfortable.
